Gone are <strong>the</strong> days when digital media was a nice add-on <strong>to</strong> a brand’s marketing mix for targeting U.S. <strong>Hispanic</strong>s or an expression of an advertiser’s trend-setting<br />

nature.<br />

As <strong>Hispanic</strong>s’ media consumption habits evolve, multiplatform offerings, most combining three screens - television, computer and mobile phone, are taking a <strong>to</strong>p spot<br />

on advertisers’ <strong>Hispanic</strong> consumers wish list.<br />

The simplicity of “put up some banners” or “buy some searches” is clearly no longer enough for advertisers looking <strong>to</strong> make <strong>the</strong>ir brands as visible as possible where<br />

and when consumers want <strong>to</strong> see <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

Clients want <strong>to</strong> see a bigger emphasis on <strong>the</strong> mobile and online screens; and with that more cooperation and flexibility from <strong>the</strong> networks for integrations that extend<br />

in<strong>to</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r digital platforms.<br />

Online media <strong>to</strong>o has been impacted by <strong>the</strong> rapidly changing landscape and advertisers’ use of websites and portals. From microsites <strong>to</strong> sponsored portals, demand<br />

from clients for cus<strong>to</strong>mized options is on <strong>the</strong> rise. Two digital formats – video banners and expandable ads – are in <strong>the</strong> midst of a growth spurt.<br />

These days, social media is practically <strong>the</strong> mainstream communication vehicle for Latinos, who are active users of social media platforms, particularly networks like<br />

Facebook and micromedia such as Twitter.<br />
