MediaGuide2012
February
Spanish-language television remains one of the leading drivers of growth in the U.S. Hispanic advertising industry, allowing marketers to create mass reach for their
messages. For most major brand categories, broadcast networks continue to attract the bulk of a company’s investment in the U.S. Hispanic marketplace.
It is not just traditional commercials, however, that attract advertisers to broadcast networks targeting Latino viewers. Product integration, programming sponsorships
and establishing personal relationships with the viewer are ever-growing and have been seen across telenovelas as well as networks’ online and mobile offerings. Sports
networks are also in on the action, with unique ways advertisers can get their brand message across without waiting for a break in the action.
Beyond the “big four” Hispanic networks are such national players as América CV Network, Vme, Estrella TV, LATV, MegaTV, and NuvoTV. Thanks to the shift from analog
to digital television, there’s potential for even further growth in the Spanish-language television space from coast to coast.
Attracting dollars remains a key task.
