11.20 - 11.40 State-of-the-art lecture Management of pain after urological procedures

Aims and objectives
This presentation will pay attention to pain mechanisms in abdominal and pelvic pain after surgery.
Prevention of pain and adequate treatment will be discussed. The most important part will be the prevention
of chronification of the pain. This requires pain management which is always multidisciplinary in nature. The
role of the psychologist and physiotherapist will also be addressed.
