Walker Monfort<br />

Assistant - Player Development<br />

Walker is in his third season as a full-time employee of the <strong>Colorado</strong> <strong>Rockies</strong>.<br />

He officially joined the <strong>Rockies</strong> front office in December of 2009 after four years of<br />

part-time work, including time spent with the team’s Grounds Crew, in the Visiting<br />

Clubhouse and in both the Ticketing and Promotions departments at Coors Field.<br />

Monfort, 25, graduated from <strong>Colorado</strong> State University in December 2009.<br />

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Technical Communication and<br />

obtained a minor in Business Administration. He attended Eaton High School in<br />

northern <strong>Colorado</strong>, where he played four years of baseball and won the 3A State<br />

Championship in back to back years (2003-04).<br />

As the club’s Assistant in Player Development, he provides support to all aspects of the Baseball<br />

Operations Department; his primary focus however, is in Minor League Administration and Player<br />

Development. Within the Player Development department, Walker assists in transactions, travel and evaluation<br />

of minor league players and staff.<br />

Mike Kennedy<br />

Coordinator - Communications / Public Relations<br />

Mike Kennedy enters his third season with the <strong>Rockies</strong> in <strong>2012</strong>. He joined<br />

the <strong>Rockies</strong> in July of 2010 in his current role.<br />

Kennedy, 26, works with the local and national media fulfilling media<br />

inquiries and providing information and analysis. In addition to daily media relations<br />

work, he writes, edits and designs the <strong>Rockies</strong> annual information guide.<br />

In 2008, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earning<br />

a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Prior to his joining the <strong>Rockies</strong><br />

he worked for the Milwaukee Iron Arena Football Team as the club’s Director of<br />

<strong>Media</strong> Relations in 2010 and as a Baseball Communications Intern for the Minnesota Twins in 2009.<br />

A native of Chaska, Minnesota, Mike currently resides in Denver, CO.<br />

Adele Armagost<br />

Assistant to the Executive VP, Chief Baseball Officer/GM<br />

Adele Armagost is now in her 20th season as a member of the <strong>Rockies</strong> front<br />

office. She took over her current role in August of 2002.<br />

Armagost joined the club in April of 1993 and spent her first seven years as<br />

assistant director of team travel and coordinator of player relations. She then<br />

spent three seasons as an executive assistant to the <strong>Rockies</strong> Ownership Group.<br />

Adele has continued to be involved in all aspects of the club’s Spring Training and<br />

team travel since 1993.<br />

A <strong>Colorado</strong> native, Adele attended the University of Northern <strong>Colorado</strong> in<br />

Greeley and now makes her home in Denver. For nine years before joining the <strong>Rockies</strong>, Armagost worked<br />

in the housing development industry. She is a charter member of the New Millennium Book Club, which<br />

began in April of 2000.<br />

Adele and her cockapoo, Daisy, are part of the Prescription Pet Program for Children’s Hospital<br />

<strong>Colorado</strong> in which Adele also serves as Secretary of the program.<br />

Irma Castañeda<br />

Assistant - Communications/PR and Baseball Operations<br />

Irma Castañeda begins her 16th season with the <strong>Rockies</strong> and her first year<br />

as Assistant – Communications/PR and Baseball Operations. Irma provides<br />

administrative support for the Public Relations, Scouting, Player Development and<br />

Major League Operations departments.<br />

Castañeda began working in baseball in 1985 for Milwaukee’s AA affiliate El<br />

Paso Diablos as a seasonal worker until the 1993 season. During the 1995 All-Star<br />

FanFest in Arlington, TX, Irma served as an Event Manager. In 1996, Irma <strong>com</strong>pleted<br />

a ticketing internship with the Atlanta Braves AAA affiliate Richmond. In September<br />

of 1996, Irma was hired on part-time in the <strong>Rockies</strong> call center, later to be<strong>com</strong>e a full-time employee in the<br />

Group Sales Department. In May 2001, Irma was named Asst. to the Director – Communications /Public<br />

Relations and eventually Asst. to the Vice President – Communications/PR.<br />

A 1996 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Irma majored in Sport Management. Castañeda<br />

worked in the Sports Information Department during her time at Texas.<br />

Born and raised in El Paso, TX, Irma lives in Morrison, CO and has two daughters, Larissa Marie<br />

and Tatiana Isabel.<br />
