Abstract: An Italian company with extensive experience in the design of integrated
circuits, has developed a one-stop shop program (“Highway
to Silicon”) encompassing all the aspects of complex IC design through
to manufacturing services and volume silicon delivery, even for
low to medium quantity. The company is ideally positioned to assist
mall-medium enterprises or start-ups that wish to create dedicated
solutions merging technologies like GPS, GSM, RFID and Computing
capacity, to bring innovative and proprietary products to the market,
with high performance and small form factor.
Detailed description: The company offers state-of-the-art design services and methodologies
for electronic systems and access to the related Intellectual Property
and manufacturing technologies (e.g. System in Package, System
on Chip, down to 90nm). To its full extent, Accent’s service can
be turnkey and one-stop-shop, including: concept and architecture,
design, implementation and prototypes, supply chain engineering,
management and production.
The methodologies and technology portfolio draw on hundreds of
IC designs and on a full understanding of a range of product development
practices, including design-for-market, design-to-cost,
design-for-yield, design for manufacturing (DFM), concurrent or simultaneous
engineering, application-specifi c validation, quality control
and supply chain engineering. The portfolio of procedures and
technologies available is composed by in-house capabilities (functional
design and verifi cation to physical design) plus those of a wide
network of partners (from Intellectual Properties to manufacturing
and design for yield techniques to sub-system integration technologies,
from characterization through to qualifi cation).
