Title: RF network for position tracking in buildings
Abstract: A bi-directional Radio Frequency network composed by Ethernet gateways
and small Tags allows to track the position of a Tag inside a
building.
Detailed description: The network operates like GSM cells. Multiple gateways on an ethernet
network are connected to a server PC. A proprietary algorithm
based on differential RSSI allows the PC to evaluate the position of a
Tag in the building. Once recognized the zone it’s possible to ask the
Tag to identify itself by means of a fl ashing light and a buzzer.
Innovative aspects: GPS-like structure for small areas
Main advantages: No need to decide where an object must be stored in a warehouse.
