ERNA UMPIRE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
WHAT IS THE UMPIRE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (UDP)?
This is an introductory course for beginning umpires who are just beyond the absolute
Course and undertake five (5) practical umpiring sessions.
FORMAT
Near the beginning of the Competition for six weeks.
First week – Train the Trainer Lecture by an experienced Umpire Mentor for ALL
UDP Coaches provided by clubs. (This will take place even if it is raining.)
First week (minimum 4 hours) - Level 1 Umpire Education Course presented by
Experienced National B Badged (minimum) umpires. (This will take place even if it
