Eastwood Ryde Umpiring Convenor Manual “to be used in conjunction with the Netball Australia NUDF” ONLY ONE EXPERIENCED UMPIRE IS NEEDED FOR EACH 7/8 & 9 YEAR OLD NETTA MODIFIED GAME. This is indicated in the Fixtures Book by an asterisk next to the team who must provide the umpire. TWO EXPERIENCED UMPIRES ARE NEEDED FOR EACH 10 YEAR OLD NETTA MODIFIED GAME. MIXED NETBALL SPECIAL RULES To play Senior Mixed netball a player must be 16 years or over and registered in the Senior Mixed Netball competition. To play Junior Mixed netball a player must be 12 years or over and registered in the Junior Mixed Netball competition. Mixed netball plays under the Current Competition Rules with the following alterations: 1. A maximum of three (3) males per mixed netball team may be on the court at any one time. 2. A maximum of five (5) females per mixed netball team may be on the court at any one time. 3. Both genders must be represented on each mixed netball team at all times. 4. A maximum of one (1) male per mixed netball team may play in each goal circle. This means a Mixed netball team may play with only one male but it can only have five (5) females on the court at the same time. LADIES NETBALL SPECIAL RULES There are no particular special rules for Ladies netball except that all Ladies players must be turning 31 years or over by 31 st December in the year of play.
