&C6 <strong>Disc</strong> full<br />

This indicates that there is not enough space on the disc to open (<br />

OPENOUT#) or save a file of the specified size.<br />

&BE Catalogue full<br />

The catalogue has enough space for 31 files. This error is produced if you<br />

attempt to enter more than 31.<br />

&C4 File exists<br />

This occurs if you try to rename a file with an existing filename.<br />

&C9 <strong>Disc</strong> read only<br />

This error occurs if you attempt to write to a disc which has the writeprotection<br />

notch covered.<br />

&C1 File read only<br />

This error occurs if you try to write to a file opened for reading only, using<br />

OSFIND with A=40.<br />

&C7 <strong>Disc</strong> fault NN at TT SS<br />

If this error message occurs it means that the computer cannot read the disc. It<br />

implies that the disc is damaged, faulty, unformatted or of the wrong type, like<br />

an 80 track disc in a 40 track drive. NN is the error number TT is the track<br />

number SS is the sector number.<br />

&C5 Drive fault NN at TT SS<br />

This error means that the disc drive is probably faulty and needs<br />

attention.<br />

&C0 Too many open files<br />

This error occurs on attempting to open a sixth random access file. Five is<br />

the maximum allowed at once.<br />

&CA Bad sum<br />

Bad checksum. For each random access file opened a control block is held in<br />

memory. This includes a checksum. A bad sum indicates corrupt data in<br />

memory and possibly a memory fault.<br />

&BF Can't extend<br />

An attempt is made to extend a random access file when there is<br />

insufficient space immediately after it to do so.<br />
