ELIGIBILITY: Must be in a program <strong>of</strong> study that applies<br />

to the field <strong>of</strong> Naval Engineering, such as Naval, Civil,<br />

Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, or the Physical<br />

Sciences. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must demonstrate an<br />

interest in Naval Engineering.<br />

Association (AFCEA) Awards<br />

NUMBER GIVEN: 30 annually (15 juniors/15 seniors)<br />

ELIGIBILITY: Candidates must be U.S. citizens, have<br />

good moral character, academic excellence and<br />

potential to serve as <strong>of</strong>ficers in the Armed Forces <strong>of</strong><br />

the U.S. and have financial need. Students must<br />

major in Electrical Engineering, MIS, Communications,<br />

Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering.<br />

class in academics and aptitude. Must demonstrate<br />

Civilian Marksmanship Program Scholarship<br />

in the air rifle marksmanship program.<br />

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, be <strong>of</strong> good moral<br />

First Command Financial Planning Scholarship<br />

Junior Line Officer Advanced Educational Program<br />

(Burke Program)<br />

ELIGIBILITY: Applicable to NROTC seniors majoring in<br />

scientific or engineering disciplines and demonstrating<br />

superior academic potential and desire to attend<br />

graduate school.<br />

MIT /Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint<br />

Masters In Oceanography Program<br />

NUMBER GIVEN: 2 annually (nationally competitive)<br />

AMOUNT: Tuition and books at MIT/Woods Hole<br />

TYPE: Merit<br />

ELIGIBILITY: Graduating NROTC senior majoring in<br />

Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Oceanography/<br />

Meteorology with a Math/Physics minor. Applicant<br />

must possess a 3.5 GPA and minimum <strong>of</strong> 650 on each<br />

section <strong>of</strong> the GRE or a 700 on the subject exam.<br />
