Roger Babich Award for Outstanding<br />

Undergraduates<br />

NUMBER GIVEN: 2<br />

AMOUNT: $250<br />

TYPE: Merit<br />

ELIGIBILITY: Cash award presented annually to<br />

outstanding undergraduate Communication major.<br />

Minimum 3.25 GPA; at least 15 hours <strong>of</strong> communication<br />

credits, six <strong>of</strong> them in upper-division courses, and<br />

completion <strong>of</strong> 60 hours. Awarded by faculty nominations<br />

and committee. Students must submit a current<br />

resume, un<strong>of</strong>ficial transcript, letter <strong>of</strong> recommendation<br />

from a Communication faculty member along with an<br />

application.<br />

AVAILABLE TO: Undergraduate<br />

Scholarly Achievement Awards in Communication<br />

NUMBER GIVEN: 2<br />

AMOUNT: $250<br />

TYPE: Merit<br />

ELIGIBILITY: Cash awards presented annually to<br />

outstanding undergraduate Communication majors<br />

voted on by faculty. Minimum eligibility requirements:<br />

declared Communication major; completion <strong>of</strong> at least<br />

60 hours with 3.25 GPA; completion <strong>of</strong> at least 15 hours<br />

in communication courses (6 hours <strong>of</strong> which must<br />

be upper-division). Students must submit a current<br />

resume, un<strong>of</strong>ficial transcript, letter <strong>of</strong> recommendation<br />

from a Communication faculty member along with an<br />

application.<br />

Ted Beaird Scholarship<br />

NUMBER GIVEN: 1<br />

AMOUNT: $1000<br />

TYPE: Merit<br />

ELIGIBILITY: Besides being in their 2nd or 3rd year in<br />

the PhD program, candidates must also have already<br />

filed their plan <strong>of</strong> study with the grad college, and meet<br />

the following additional criteria: a) they must be a fulltime,<br />

regularly enrolled student in the Department; b)<br />

they must have a 3.25 GPA or higher.<br />
