Despite well-intended surgical attempts to improve
the soft tissue deficiencies of the eyelid-adnexal
regions in the patient with Treacher Collins
syndrome, few aesthetically pleasing soft tissue
eyelid reconstructions have resulted. B: A 4-yearold
child with Treacher Collins syndrome after
placement of full-thickness skin grafts to the lower
eyelids. The grafts leave a “patchy,” “operated-on”
look that generally detracts from the result.
