Timing <strong>Control</strong> Table<br />

The timing control table (TCT) contains<br />

information utilized by the system<br />

rranagement facilities (SMF) option. <strong>System</strong><br />

management facilities is an optional<br />

feature that can be selected at system<br />

generation for an MFT or MVT configuration<br />

cf the Systern/360 operating <strong>System</strong>.<br />

The timing control table is pointed to<br />

ty the TCBTCT field, offset 164 decimal, of<br />

the task control block.<br />

The TCT is coreposed of;<br />

1. The TCT proper which consists of:<br />

• fields utilized by the SMF modules<br />

• one or two storage tables depending<br />

upon the kinds of storage allocated<br />

-- processor storage or IBM 2361<br />

Core Storage.<br />

2. The TCT I/O table consisting of a TCT<br />

I/O lookup table, and a TCT I/O<br />

counter table.<br />

The TCT I/O table need not be contiguous to<br />

the TCT proper.<br />

Figure 27 illustrates the format of the<br />

TCT. Descriptions of the fields follow the<br />

illustration.<br />
