Protected Step Control Block The protected step control block (PSCB) contains accounting information related to a single user. All timing information is in software timer units. A software timer unit is equal to 26.04166 microseconds. The job step control block (JSCB), offset 264, points to the PSCB. A description of the fields follows Figure 34= PSCB 395
