6 May <strong>2001</strong>: Delivered a lecture in Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford, on the life<br />
and work of John Roberts, architect (1714-1796).<br />
16-17 July <strong>2001</strong>: Delivered a lecture on early printed books in the Boole <strong>Library</strong> to the<br />
Early Books Society during their conference in UCC. With the assistance of Carol<br />
Quinn (Archivist) and Amanda Belshaw (English postgrad), I set up an exhibition to<br />
run in conjunction with this conference, entitled “Early books at the Boole”.<br />
10 September <strong>2001</strong>: Submitted to the New Dictionary of National Biography the<br />
fourth of five articles requested. Subject: Richard Power, first Earl of Tyrone (d.1690).<br />
