Learn more about the Next Step Social<br />

Justice Retreat, a weekend overnight<br />

retreat for students, staff, and faculty to explore themselves<br />

and their role in challenging racism, sexism, classism,<br />

heterosexism, and other forms of oppression. Meet previous<br />

student participants as they share how the Next Step experience<br />

transformed their lives. Retreat takes place January 14 - 15,<br />

2011. <strong>Student</strong> participants must apply in order to be considered<br />

for the weekend retreat. Applications available at the Cross<br />

Cultural Centers and due Friday, November 5 by 5 pm.<br />

Nothing says "It’s Almost The Weekend" like a happy hour. Join us for<br />

"mocktails" by Starbucks and Juice It Up! And sample some wings and<br />

banana pudding from L.A.’s famous Nana Queen's Food Truck. Stop<br />

by the Cross Cultural Centers, U-SU Room 206, beginning Monday,<br />

October 4 for to sample Nana Queen's. Limit one ticket with current<br />

CSULA I.D. Card, while supplies last. Additional food available for<br />

purchase while Nana Queen's is on campus.<br />

and prepare to find out what makes Cal State L.A. rock! This event<br />
