River Cross<br />
A River Cross battle occurs when one army meets another army while crossing a<br />
river. If you decide to lead the battle in this instance, then a River Cross battle will be<br />
spawned in Battle View. The defending army will be placed on the shore with armed<br />
watch towers, while the attacking army appears on rafts in the middle of the river. The<br />
attackers’ immediate task is to land while being under fire from the defender’s ranged<br />
squads and towers; once landed, they must then form a battle order and attack.<br />
Camp Assault<br />
A Camp Assault battle occurs when an army attacks a camped army. If you decide to<br />
lead the battle, a Camp Assault battle will be spawned in Battle View. The defending<br />
army is caught unaware and the army is distributed over a number of tents. If the attacker<br />
is quick to advance, he could overrun the defender’s camp before the latter has<br />
time to break camp and arrange his battle formation.<br />
Fortified Camp Assault<br />
This is a version of the previous battle with one important difference: the defender’s<br />
camp is well fortified and there are towers protecting the tents. It is much more difficult<br />
to overrun this type of camp. To fortify a camp, the marshal has to have the<br />
Tactics skill.<br />
