Longbowmen<br />
Longbowmen are famous for their long<br />
bows, which are capable of hitting distant<br />
targets. Their armour is not very good,<br />
which is counterbalanced by their low<br />

Mameluks<br />
The Mameluks are foot soldiers outfitted<br />
with light armour, a shield and a spear.<br />
They originated from Arabic Egypt and<br />
spread across the Islamic world.<br />

Men At Arms<br />
Men-at-Arms are an advanced version of<br />
the Swordsmen. They are well-armoured<br />
and their swords are of good quality.<br />

Mongolian Cavalry<br />
The Mongolian Cavalry are a very fast<br />
and light cavalry. They are equally strong<br />
in shooting and sword-fighting, which<br />
makes them a deadly enemy.<br />

Normans<br />
Normans are excellent melee warriors.<br />
They wear chain mail armour and carry<br />
a typical Norman shield giving good additional<br />
protection.<br />

Peasants<br />
The Peasants are the cheapest and weakest<br />
unit. They are typically armed with<br />
pitchforks and wear no armour. They walk<br />
in bunches, not formations, and have the<br />
lowest basic morale of all.<br />
Pronoias<br />
Pronoias are a medium cavalry which<br />
emerged from the late Byzantine feudal<br />
system and spread all over the Balkans.<br />
They are armed with a very long lance and<br />
have a very strong charge.<br />

Roman Infantry<br />
Roman Infantry are medium infantry units<br />
which originated in the early Byzantine<br />
military system. They are armoured with<br />
chain mail and big shields, and are armed<br />
