SUNDAY: Meet in Paris for a Private
Driver Transfer to ‘Hirondelle,’ moored
at Plagny. A champagne reception and
cruise to le Guétin precedes your first
dinner on board.
MONDAY: Visit the private château
and gardens at the beautiful village
of Apremont. After a lunchtime
cruise, return to Nevers, capital of the
Nivernais, for a walking tour through
the winding, narrow streets, flanked
by houses dating from the 14th to
17th centuries.
TUESDAY: After breakfast, explore la
Charité-sur-Loire, an important site of
Burgundian Romanesque art. Then relax
on board as ‘Hirondelle’ cruises toward
Ménétréol for a tour and tasting at a goat
cheese farm.

WEDNESDAY: Embark on a relaxing
morning cruise; then visit the hilltop
village of Sancerre for lunch. Afterward,
take a stroll around the town and enjoy
a private wine tasting at the fabulous
15th-century Château de Tracy, a
prestigious producer of Pouilly Fumé.
THURSDAY: Cruise toward Châtillonsur-Loire
today to visit a faïence pottery
factory in the beautiful town of Gien.
This traditional tin-glazed pottery has
been produced since the 17th century.
Continue to the remarkable Château
de la Bussière with its imposing setting
and medicinal gardens. Known as “the
Fishermen’s castle,” it is home to works
of art related to fresh-water fishing.
