S cabbage at €10.90 (12pm to 3pm). Hannah Kelly (concertina) & Nell Kelly (fiddle) are two cracking young trad musicians from Rathcormack Sligo. They were winners of the all Ireland Duet competition in 2007 & Nell is the current u12 All Ireland Fiddle champion. They play a range of great music including many Sligo style compositions as well as newly composed tunes “driving music of the highest quality”. 5pm The Clarence Wine Street Tel: 071 91 42211 Italian Dinner & Live Music Ticket. An influential figure in Ultan’s life was the late John Martyn whom he supported several times. FOOD VENUE Friday 18th March 6pm Fureys Bridge Street Tel: 071 91 43825 Spanish Evening with Felip Carbonell & Jim Meehan – Tapas by Café Arabica. Born in Mallorca, Felip Carbonell is a self taught guitarist, mostly influenced by the Catalan songwriter movement, flamenco & rumba styles. He worked in different bands in Spain during the 80s & 90’s before he moved to Ireland in 1998. He’s currently recording & touring as an integral part of the band NoCrows amongst several other musical projects. Jim Meehan is an experienced guitarist who plays with equal facility in Jazz & Trad settings. He has had an enduring musical partnership with Felip Carbonell over the past decade. He is featured as a guest artist with the Michael Waters Jazz Quartet in the Derry City Jazz Festival later this year. 6pm Kennedys Rockwood Parade Tel: 071 91 61250 Feel Good Friday – Aoife Grennan & Complimentary Finger Food. Aoife Grennan lives in Strandhill, Co. Sligo. She has been gigging in Sligo from the age of 16, starting in McLynn’s Pub.
