5.1 Thames Water is the ‘sewerage undertaker’<br />
for almost the whole of <strong>London</strong> (a small part<br />
of Havering is served by Anglian Water). It<br />
is responsible for collecting waste<strong>water</strong> from<br />
homes and businesses, and treating it at one<br />
of the sewage treatment works listed below,<br />
before returning the treated <strong>water</strong> back to<br />
