Loan<br />

Dated—November I, 1914.<br />

(First <strong>War</strong> Loan)<br />

Due—No fixed date of maturity. Registered bonds held by<br />

original subscriber for five years without change of registry<br />

are redeemable at par at the option of the holder between<br />

November 1, 1919 and November 1, 1920.<br />

Period of Subscription—November 16, 1914 to November 23,<br />

1914.<br />

Right of Redemption—The Government reserves the right to<br />

redeem at any time in whole or in part on three months'<br />

notice. It was stated in the prospectus that this right<br />

would probably not be exercised before November 1, 1919.<br />

Interest Dates—May 1 and November 1.<br />

Issue Price—gyy2 for fully paid allotments, 98 for installment<br />

allotments.<br />

Form and Denomination—Coupon or registered bonds in denominations<br />

of 50, 100, 1,000 5,000 and 10,000 crowns.<br />

Method of Subscription—Subscriptions were received at the<br />

Royal Treasury in Budapest and branches, at all tax offices,<br />

post offices, postal savings banks, at the head office of the<br />

Austro-Hungarian Bank and its branches in Hungary, Bosnia<br />

and Herzogovina, and at many other private banks and<br />

institutions.<br />

Method of Payment—Subscriptions not exceeding 100 crowns<br />

were payable in full. Other subscriptions were payable<br />

in full or by installments as follows : 10% as a pledge<br />

upon application, 40% of issue price not later than December<br />

12, 1914, 30% not later than December 22, 1914, and<br />

30% not later than January 8, 1915. All without accrued<br />

interest. The original pledge of 10% was credited to the<br />

last installment except in case of deposited securities which<br />

were returned at the request of the depositor. The pledge<br />

could be made in cash or acceptable securities except at tax<br />

offices, post offices and government offices where cash only<br />

was received.<br />
