Period of Subscription—December 23, 1916 to February 8,<br />

1917. (Later extended to April 2, 1917.)<br />

Interest Dates—June 15 and December 15.<br />

Issue Price—100.<br />

Form and Denomination—Coupon bonds in denominations of<br />

£10, £50, £100, £500 and £1,000 and Inscribed Stock<br />

in amounts of £100 and multiples of £10 over £100. Inscribed<br />

Stock and coupon bonds interchangeable at any<br />

time upon application in writing to the Commonwealth<br />

Treasury, Melbourne, or any branch of the Commonwealth<br />

Bank of Australia.<br />

Method of Subscription—Subscriptions were received at the<br />

Commonwealth Bank of Australia and branches (including<br />

Rabaul and New Britain), at the head offices and branches<br />

of all banks, State Savings Bank, by any member of a recognized<br />

stock exchange or at any post office where money<br />

order business was conducted.<br />

Method of Payment—10% on application, 10% March 1, 1917,<br />

10% April 2, 1917, 10% May 1, 1917, 10% June 1, 1917,<br />

10% July 2, 1917, 10% August 1, 1917, 10% September<br />

3, 1917, 10% October 1, 1917, and 10% November 1, 1917,<br />

without accrued interest. Any or all installments could<br />

be prepaid. Subscribers paying by installments received<br />

December 15, 1917, interest amounting to £3:155. on each<br />

£100 subscribed. Subscribers paying in full on or before<br />

February 8, 1917, received June 15, 1917 interest amounting<br />

to £2:5s. on each £100 subscribed.<br />

The period of subscription was extended from February<br />

8, 1917 to April 2, 1917 and the following adjustments were<br />

made: (1) Installment Applications—Where the deposit<br />

and the first installment were paid ,on or before March 8,<br />

1917, the second and later installments were due on the<br />

dates shown in the prospectus and interest amounting to<br />

£3:145. on each £100 subscribed was paid on December<br />
