A risk score for murder<br />

APPENDIX C<br />

Table 17 below shows the final model arising out of the analysis of the murder cases<br />

<strong>and</strong> general controls. It consists of 13 variables that significantly contribute to the<br />

risk score. The variables are listed in the order in which they were included in the<br />

model. This is a stable solution – all variables in the model were individually<br />

statistically significant when removed from the model, <strong>and</strong> no further variables not<br />

in the model were significant.<br />
