Fred ninow: Thank you <strong>Max</strong> Associates!<br />

I want to thank all the <strong>Max</strong> Associates who<br />

participated in the <strong>Founders</strong> Cruise. What an<br />

incredible experience to get to personally meet<br />

and spend time with so many of <strong>Max</strong>’s fabulous<br />

Associates and Leaders. It was wonderful<br />

to meet your families as well. You were all<br />

exceptionally nice to my family and I appreciate<br />

it so much. The <strong>Founders</strong> Cruise gave me a<br />

greater appreciation of the terrific people that<br />

have joined the <strong>Max</strong> family. As someone fairly<br />

new to the world of network marketing, I can<br />

really see how awesome this industry is by the<br />

caliber and talents of <strong>Max</strong> Associates.<br />

I would encourage all of you to take advantage of<br />

every meeting or event where you can be around<br />

other Associates and <strong>Max</strong> Leaders who are filled with excitement and energy. There<br />

are real benefits to be gained when people come together in a common cause. The<br />

synergy generated by <strong>Max</strong> Associates can help lift you to new levels of achievement!<br />

It was also a privilege to attend the Canadian Pre-Launch Convention to meet with our<br />

dynamic Canadian Associates.<br />

There was such excitement<br />

a cheering crowd. Just like<br />

<strong>Max</strong>GXL, our new product<br />

has cutting-edge science<br />

behind it. The results of the<br />

I would like to conclude by sharing my belief<br />

that you don’t have to be a sales person to<br />

be willing to share the product. Do that and<br />

raja sethi: devotion to relationships<br />

leads to long-term success<br />

The first thing that impressed Diamond Associate,<br />

Raja Sethi about <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong> was that it was,<br />

in his words, “a real company.” He has met with<br />

many CEOs and company leaders over the years but<br />

he knew that there was something different at <strong>Max</strong><br />

before the company even launched. He was struck<br />

by the sincerity of the founders and executives when<br />

he first met with them in January of 2007. He was<br />

immediately impressed with how down-to-earth<br />

they were and that they didn’t need to inflate the<br />

image of the company or the product.<br />

Raja said they didn’t shove forms at him and<br />

pressure him into signing up for anything. It wasn’t<br />

like other start-up companies he’d experienced<br />

that had weak financial backing and less-thancutting-edge<br />

products. He received samples of<br />

<strong>Max</strong>GXL which he started taking himself. He also<br />

gave some to a friend of his, John Dickey, who had<br />

health issues significant enough that he was forced<br />

to spend much of his time in bed.<br />

After just six days on <strong>Max</strong>GXL, John’s health had<br />

improved dramatically. He and his wife, Sherrie,<br />

were ready to go to work. They wanted to sign<br />

up immediately, but Raja was still looking into the<br />

company, which hadn’t even launched yet. The fact<br />

that Raja already had people lining up, combined<br />

with his own experience with the product and the<br />

company leaders, confirmed that this was a company<br />

unlike anything he had experienced before.<br />

Network marketing is all about the people, Raja<br />

said. The sincerity that so impressed Raja about <strong>Max</strong><br />

<strong>International</strong> has been essential to his own success over<br />

the years, a big part of which has come from building<br />

trust through genuine interaction with people.<br />

Raja said he doesn’t have to spend a lot of time<br />

looking for new recruits because he has an<br />

enormous pool of friends to draw from; people who<br />

want to follow him into whatever he is currently<br />

involved with. He said he sends out some 500 handwritten<br />

Christmas cards every year. If a person isn’t<br />

interested in his latest venture he remains committed<br />

to that person as a friend. The business, whatever<br />

it is, should always be secondary to people, he said.<br />

Relationships should always come first. As a result<br />

he often has people coming to him and wanting to<br />

join him in his latest venture.<br />

“They call me and ask me what I’m doing now,” Raja<br />

said. “They know I’m consistent and know they can<br />

trust me.”<br />

Many of his recruits at <strong>Max</strong>, in fact, were people<br />

calling him instead of the other way around. This<br />

fact, combined with a powerful product, and an<br />

equally impressive company, sets the stage for<br />

limitless potential.<br />

Before getting into network marketing Raja worked<br />

as an attorney for many years. He was once called<br />

to jury duty and the Chief Justice, who was familiar<br />

with Raja’s background, commented that Raja had<br />

more education than him.<br />

In fact Raja has so much educational background<br />

and professional experience he could get a job in<br />

any number of fields, but he finds that network<br />

marketing has more appeal than most anything<br />

out there. He can work from home on the phone,<br />

making millions of dollars and have more time to<br />

spend with his family.<br />

Raja’s advice to people just starting out in the<br />

company is to first start taking <strong>Max</strong>GXL, so you<br />

can have firsthand knowledge of its effectiveness.<br />

Personal testimonials are often the most powerful<br />

selling tool. Then give the product to others and get<br />

feedback. Most of the people that try it will see results<br />

in the first week or so. For those experiencing more<br />

significant health issues, increasing the dose to three<br />

packs a day may be a good idea. Almost without<br />

fail, regardless of health challenges, people will see<br />

results, Raja said. Most of those people will want to<br />

get involved with the company on some level.

and follow with more water or juice, at least a<br />

glass full. Drink plenty of fluids whenever taking<br />

experiencing mild to severe heartburn after taking <strong>Max</strong>GXL:<br />

“My own experience and that of my friends and patients is that this is esophageal and not gastric. I think<br />

the gelatin capsules get sticky if not really wet. This stickiness tends to allow the capsule to dissolve in the<br />

esophagus. We seem to have 100 percent resolution by ensuring that the caps are well wet in the mouth<br />

and/or taken with food and plenty of water to wash it down.<br />

Were you rather disappointed that rockets didn’t go off when you first took<br />

<strong>Max</strong>GXL?<br />

New folks, especially the ones that have had quick and spectacular results, tell<br />

everyone how fast things happened for them. After awhile, if this message is<br />

repeated enough—everyone starts to believe and expect that this is the norm!<br />

Our Western culture exists in a world whereby we expect a quick fix for<br />

almost everything.<br />

I coach my people by getting them off the “quick fix” merry-go-round and<br />

start them using some common sense.<br />

If you ask people why they take vitamins, they will give you a funny look and<br />

say, “Well, I hear it’s good for you.” They never really experience any “results” they can recall. Should it be<br />

any different with taking <strong>Max</strong>GXL?<br />

I encourage studying the <strong>Max</strong> website, <strong>Max</strong>’s Your Business At Home<br />

magazine, the <strong>Max</strong> newsletter and researching glutathione. I always<br />

hope the person then arrives at a place where they say, “I need to take<br />

<strong>Max</strong>GXL as a prevention and security against the toxic soup we live<br />

in today.” A friend of mine actually calls <strong>Max</strong>GXL his “Cellular Security<br />

Guard.” I like that!<br />

Instead of following society in being so “results driven,” we need to explain why you should take <strong>Max</strong>GXL for<br />

Of course, I love the testimonies—or as some say, “the burning bush stories.” Together with a gentle blend<br />

of those stories and real education, we will have the right message to present.

For many of us, extra weight settles around our<br />

middle area giving us a “beer belly” or unwanted<br />

“love handles.” We may look perfectly normal except<br />

for our tummy, which gives us an “apple” shape.<br />

Not only is this enlarged belly unattractive, it’s<br />

unhealthy as well. The Mayo Clinic reported that<br />

gaining weight in the abdomen increases the risk of:<br />

• Heart disease • Breast cancer<br />

randy Bartlome said that his success at <strong>Max</strong> has been all about passion,<br />

positive attitude and keeping it simple. Finding a product and company you<br />

believe in and can be passionate about is key. Randy had plenty going against<br />

him when he started at <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong> but passion is the one thing he’s always<br />

had on his side, and it’s enough to build a thriving business on. “You can flap<br />

your gums all day speaking from your head and get nowhere with people. But the<br />

second you speak from your heart it shows through,” Randy said.<br />

Before coming to <strong>Max</strong>, Randy was at a point in his career where change was<br />

essential. He was three payments behind on his mortgage and not sure where<br />

the next one would come from. One day he spent some extra time on his knees<br />

praying. The next day his friend Ricky Brandino gave him a call and told him<br />

about <strong>Max</strong>. The rest is history.<br />

Randy met with the founders and executives. He said when Steve Scott first walked in the room he could feel<br />

his energy and passion and knew in short order that his 20 years of chasing rainbows in network marketing<br />

was over. The other founders and executives were equally impressive. He said his upline is the best he’s had,<br />

or heard of, in his two decades in the industry. “I wouldn’t trade a single one of them. My team has every<br />

piece of the puzzle. The only thing missing is you (the new recruit)!”<br />

Randy said <strong>Max</strong> has the best compensation plan he’s seen. It’s designed to reward the new recruit and<br />

hard work. “If you don’t work with your people you don’t get rewarded. Teamwork is vital.” Using the tools<br />

available, keeping it simple and staying positive are the ways to success. If you use the tools the way they’re<br />

meant to be used, they will do a lot of the work for you. “If the masses can’t duplicate what you’re doing,<br />

you’re making it too complicated,” he said. “You can’t drive a nail with a saw.” When combined with a positive<br />

attitude you can’t go wrong. “If you believe you can, you will. If you’re convinced you can’t, you’re right.<br />

Positive thoughts produce positive action.”<br />

Virginia Cartagenas is from the Philippines and used to be apprehensive<br />

about talking to people in the U.S. about network marketing, but having<br />

a product she firmly believes in is good medicine for overcoming shyness.<br />

She believes so strongly in the company and <strong>Max</strong>GXL that she feels it is her<br />

responsibility to share it with people. She said the $49 fee to get started in the<br />

company is nothing when you consider the returns. She is often approached<br />

by people she has recruited and they thank her for introducing them to <strong>Max</strong><br />

<strong>International</strong> and <strong>Max</strong>GXL.<br />

She said she will do anything it takes to get people to take the product and<br />

stay on it. Occasionally she will meet someone who doesn’t experience immediate results. She will encourage<br />

them to stay on it for at least three months. She said a lot of people do experience a change immediately,<br />

while for others it may take time. She has had good success with this method.<br />

She looks forward to a time when the Filipino government will open the way for <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong> to be<br />

widely distributed in the Philippines. She wants her children, who still live over there, to get involved in the<br />

company and see it change their lives for the better.<br />

Bo short and Ty Tribble of <strong>Max</strong> Impact have been consistent<br />

top recruiters over the last four months. They had this to<br />

say about their success: “We believe that ‘consistent success’<br />

When telling people about <strong>Max</strong>GXL ola Breau said he doesn’t have to go beyond his own personal<br />

experience. Ola said <strong>Max</strong>GXL gave him his life back. He has no problem sharing his story with friends and<br />

“When you tell your story in a way that people understand how it has changed your life and how it can help<br />

them, it’s hard for them to say no,” Ola said.<br />

<strong>Max</strong> does the job for you, he said. He has signed almost all of his recruits as Associates. He said even the<br />

ones who aren’t initially interested in the business eventually come on as Associates after they see what the<br />

product can do and realize it is a breakthrough product.<br />

Though only 47 years old Ola was to the point where he was going to be forced into early retirement. He<br />

worked for years as a trucker and suffered from extreme sleep deprivation during that time. He also drank<br />

and smoked for many years. He gave up drinking years ago and is now ready to stop smoking because of<br />

<strong>Max</strong>GXL. He said without <strong>Max</strong>GXL he would never be able to quit.<br />

Before <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong>, Ola was working a job as an equipment operator cutting steel. It was very physically<br />

draining. It was taking such a toll he was afraid he would have to defer to his wife to support the family. In<br />

the evenings he is a singer. But even that was becoming difficult. He said he would sweat profusely and get<br />

dr. Michael o’daniel is a practicing holistic chiropractor. He has also worked<br />

in network marketing for a number of years. His involvement in network<br />

marketing has been largely about finding nutritional products that he can use<br />

to help his patients and promote better health.<br />

Dr. O’Daniel has been living a holistic lifestyle during his entire professional<br />

career so he can experience firsthand any products he recommends to his<br />

patients. He has tried and tested hundreds of products in that time. When a<br />

friend and colleague approached him about a product that increased intracellular<br />

glutathione his interest was piqued. He knew about glutathione but nothing<br />

prepared him for how truly groundbreaking the product would be.<br />

He knew <strong>Max</strong>GXL was something special right after he started using it. He noticed an immediate difference<br />

in his recovery time after workouts, and the general stiffness and discomfort from former injuries quickly<br />

college professor and Michele as a nurse – jobs they are still working.<br />

They also had a very successful training venture they were doing<br />

for Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. They weren’t looking<br />

to rock the boat career-wise. In fact, <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong> complicated<br />

their situation in some ways by making them even more busy than<br />

they were.<br />

Before <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong> they were both experiencing significant health issues. <strong>Max</strong>GXL gave them their lives<br />

back physically. Suddenly they each felt a sense of urgency to share it with people; both in terms of helping<br />

people with their health and encouraging them to get involved in the company early, while the financial<br />

opportunities are at their peak.<br />

Michele says she has no inhibitions about approaching people about the company. She’ll approach anyone<br />

from total strangers in the mall to colleagues at work. Her first priority, she says, is people with health issues.<br />

Michele and David were involved in one other network marketing company before this. It was a company with<br />

a good product but below-par management. With <strong>Max</strong> they have an amazing product in an equally impressive<br />

company. After the first experience they didn’t think they wanted to do network marketing again, but after<br />

experiencing <strong>Max</strong>GXL they knew it was something they had to do.<br />

romie Villalobos, in his retirement, likes to bowl. He bowls with a senior league.<br />

Getting close to 70 years old and bowling three or four times a week was taking<br />

its toll on his body, and it showed in his steadily declining bowling average. His<br />

game was suffering because he lacked energy and ran out of gas before he could<br />

finish a game. Soon after starting on <strong>Max</strong>GXL he was featured in a local newspaper,<br />

averaging over 190 a game and becoming the top player in his age bracket. He feels<br />

younger and more energized than he has in years.<br />

After his own amazing results with <strong>Max</strong>GXL, Romie has introduced the product to<br />

a lot of his friends, some of whom smoke and drink or have other health issues. He explains to them what<br />

<strong>Max</strong>GXL can do for them. “I tell them they will breathe easier,” he said. “I say it will clean their bodies of<br />

toxins and protect them against free radicals.”<br />

Although he doesn’t tout <strong>Max</strong>GXL as a smoking-cessation product, many of his friends who have started<br />

taking it have quit after years of smoking. “They’ve lost the desire to smoke,” he said.<br />

and his wife, Eria, in their retirement years. They are excited about sharing it with their friends and seeing it<br />

For dr. Corrine allen, advancing to Gold Associate involved a<br />

lot of time on her knees. She said she would pray every day to be<br />

led to people she should call to tell about <strong>Max</strong>GXL. Almost without<br />

exception the people she talked to would respond by saying, “I’m so<br />

glad you called.” Once she has introduced someone to the product, follow-up is<br />

essential.<br />

“Make a plan and stick to it,” she said. “Each person you give the product to needs<br />

to know you care about him or her as a person. Careful follow-up will send that<br />

message. You need to make sure they are taking it correctly and in the proper<br />

amounts. By calling or emailing people soon after giving them the product you make sure they get the<br />

maximum benefits from the product.”<br />

Dr. Allen generally suggests that her patients who are taking <strong>Max</strong>GXL increase the dosage slowly over time.<br />

The amount will vary from person to person.<br />

Dr. Allen works with a lot of patients with neurological problems. She said, more than any other product, she<br />

has seen significant improvements for such patients with <strong>Max</strong>GXL.<br />

Jim Marshall said that the key to his success is always the people he is privileged<br />

to work with. Successful business building is never a one person show. “I’m lucky<br />

to be part of a focused team of individuals who are determined to take advantage<br />

of the incredible opportunity we have with <strong>Max</strong>. We keep in close contact, speak<br />

on, more or less, a daily basis, and do whatever it takes to support each new<br />

member who joins our group.”<br />

Jim said so far this game plan is working perfectly in sync with <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong><br />

and he expects it to keep getting better.<br />

“One person I would credit is Alan Sickman, my sponsor, whose business building style I am doing my best<br />

to emulate,” Jim said. “Alan is so good at all the small details that make so much difference in this industry,<br />

and I’m really trying to learn from him in this regard. Paying attention to your team members’ needs is<br />

paramount.”<br />

Reaching Gold is an important milestone, Jim said. His hope is that it will show everyone on his team just<br />

how simple it is to do, and how quickly it can happen. “I’m sure several people on my team will bypass me<br />

soon and that is very exciting.”<br />

Jim tells anyone that is willing to listen to do something every day that is focused on building the <strong>Max</strong><br />

business – put one foot in front of the other.<br />

“If you do this, it will happen!”<br />

Platinum Associate<br />

Jim Kerr, of Bowmanville, Ontario, said advancing to<br />

Platinum required a lot of hard work and has been very<br />

much a team effort.<br />

“I am working with a great group of people,” he said.<br />

Jim remarked that it is important for Associates to believe in their team members<br />

even more those team members believe in themselves. Building a business is often<br />

like climbing a mountain in that the journey sometimes presents a lot of weeds and<br />

rocks to your view, and you can lose sight of the fact that getting to the top will open an amazing view.<br />

Most jobs involve getting paid for the number of hours worked. Network marketing, however, especially for<br />

people just getting started, often involves many hours of work before any financial rewards. After months of<br />

hard work the pay can start exceeding the amount of hours spent doing it. Those who remain dedicated to<br />

it can make far more money than they could ever hope to make working nine to five.<br />

The trick is staying on the path and working your way up, even when all you see are weeds, Jim said. Having<br />

people in your upline who have first-hand knowledge of the view ahead, and want to do everything to help<br />

you reach your goals, is a tremendous help. Having a first-rate compensation plan that rewards the new<br />

recruit and hard work, as <strong>Max</strong> does, also helps.<br />

Of course, being with the right company is key. Jim said <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong> is an amazing company with<br />

an incredible product that impacts every cell of the body. Given the amazing opportunity <strong>Max</strong> provides,<br />

Associates who stay dedicated to the work are bound to succeed.

Winder Lyons, of Branson, Missouri, said that his and Lynn rothermich’s<br />

success at <strong>Max</strong> <strong>International</strong> has been a process of aligning<br />

themselves with the true nature and intent of the company.<br />

“When Dr. Keller developed <strong>Max</strong>GXL his intent was to do good, not to<br />

make money,” Winder said.<br />

The owners then stepped up and founded a company where doing<br />

good was the primary motive, and the executives followed suit. When<br />

an Associate aligns him or herself with the original intent of the company<br />

they tap into the Divine and love is the result. This fosters a positivity that leads to success. Emphasizing<br />

love will also cast out the fear of approaching people about the company and <strong>Max</strong>GXL.<br />

“The more good you sow, the more good you have returned to you,” he said. “Love is stronger than fear.”<br />

Winder said <strong>Max</strong>GXL works on the most basic principles. The body can’t function to its potential with the<br />

toxins that are a natural part of our world and rob us of vital energy. <strong>Max</strong>GXL detoxifies cells, reduces<br />

cellular inflammation and helps restore the energy we need to function as humans. By taking <strong>Max</strong>GXL our<br />

bodies become more and more organized, first physically, then mentally, emotionally and finally spiritually.<br />
