replacing an existing railroad crossing.<br />
2008081126 Avenue 280 Road-Widening<br />

The County <strong>of</strong> Tulare, in conjunction with the Cities <strong>of</strong> Visalia <strong>and</strong> Exeter <strong>and</strong> the<br />
California Department <strong>of</strong> Transportation is proposing to widen Avenue 280 from a<br />
two lane roadway to four <strong>and</strong> six lane roadway between <strong>State</strong> Route 99 <strong>and</strong> the<br />
City <strong>of</strong> Exeter. Intersection improvements at up to 21 roadway intersections with<br />
Avenue 280 would also be implemented as part <strong>of</strong> the proposed widening project.<br />
The project will improve the level <strong>of</strong> service for traffic on this important regional<br />
roadway in response to an in anticipation <strong>of</strong> growth in the Cities <strong>of</strong> Visalia,<br />
Farmersville, <strong>and</strong> Exeter.<br />

The City <strong>of</strong> Anaheim, in partnership with the Orange County Transportation<br />
Authority (OCTA), is proposing to enhance the existing Anaheim Metrolin/Amtrak<br />
Station that is located south <strong>of</strong> Katella Avenue <strong>and</strong> adjacent to the Grove <strong>of</strong><br />
Anaheim (the "ARTIC project"). A larger station with improved transit connectivity<br />
<strong>and</strong> passenger services <strong>and</strong> amenities will be constructed approximately one<br />
quarter (.025) mile east along the existing OCTA railroad right-<strong>of</strong>-way.<br />
