The proposed Project would exp<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> improve the existing Berths 302-305<br />

marine container terminal from the current 291 acres to approximately 347 acres,<br />

including extension <strong>of</strong> the existing wharf by 1,250 feet (creating Berth 306), to<br />

accommodate an annual throughput <strong>of</strong> up to approximately 3.2 million twenty foot<br />

equivalent units (TEUs) by 2027. The overall purpose <strong>of</strong> the proposed Project is to<br />

optimize <strong>and</strong> exp<strong>and</strong> the cargo-h<strong>and</strong>ling capacity at the APL Terminal to provide a<br />

portion <strong>of</strong> the facilities needed to accommodate the long-term growth in the<br />

volume <strong>of</strong> containerized cargo through the Port <strong>and</strong> at the APL Terminal while<br />

implementing the Port's green growth strategy.<br />

2009074006 Lytton Residential Development<br />

The project consists <strong>of</strong> placing approximately 124 acres into trust for the Lytton<br />

Rancheria for the construction <strong>of</strong> 147 residential units <strong>and</strong> associated facilities,<br />

including infrastructure improvements <strong>and</strong> community buildings.<br />

2009091026 Sycuan B<strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong> the Kumeyaay Nation Fee-to-Trust<br />

Bureau <strong>of</strong> Indian Affairs<br />

El Cajon--San Diego<br />

The Sycuan B<strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong> the Kumeyaay Nation (Tribe) submitted a revised application<br />

in May <strong>of</strong> 2011 to the Bureau <strong>of</strong> Indian Affairs (BIA) to approve the acquisition in<br />

trust <strong>of</strong> 21 San Diego County assessor's parcels totaling 1,357 acres <strong>of</strong> l<strong>and</strong><br />

(hereafter, "Sycuan Property").<br />

<strong>2012</strong>061025 Walnut Avenue Rule 20A & Pedestrian Project<br />

Merced County<br />

--Merced<br />

The Walnut Avenue Rule 20A & Pedestrian Project (proposed project) would<br />

complete a variety <strong>of</strong> improvements along the remaining unimproved portions <strong>of</strong><br />

Walnut Avenue, specifically between Santa Fe Drive <strong>and</strong> CA Street <strong>and</strong> a portion<br />

<strong>of</strong> CA Street north <strong>of</strong> Walnut Avenue. Specific improvements include the<br />

following:<br />

- Curb, gutter, <strong>and</strong> sidewalks (ADA Compliant) along both sides <strong>of</strong> Walnut Avenue<br />

<strong>and</strong> along the west side <strong>of</strong> CA Street.<br />

- Class II bike lane <strong>and</strong> vehicle parking area along Walnut Avenue.<br />

- Traffic calming improvements constructed along Walnut Avenue including a<br />

raised crosswalk/speed table adjacent to Crookham Elementary School <strong>and</strong> curb<br />

bulb-outs at intersections.<br />

- Undergrounding <strong>of</strong> utilities along Walnut Avenue.<br />

- New storm drainage system along Walnut Avenue with infiltration basin on<br />

vacant property along Walnut Avenue.<br />

- Existing street lights along Walnut Avenue (currently mounted on wood power<br />

poles) will be converted to County st<strong>and</strong>ard street lights mounted on metal poles.<br />
