Rennsport Reunion

Rennsport Reunion, sponsored by PCNA and billed as
“the world’s largest gathering of Porsche race cars
and drivers,” took place last month at Mazda Raceway
Laguna Seca. Numerous RMR members made the
journey to Monterey, CA to be part of the festivities. Two
of them—Dan Carlson and former RMR newsletter editor
Diane Collier—share their stories.

What a weekend! Can life get any
better than this?

Stopping in Half Moon Bay to experience
the “Pumpkin Capital of the
World” in all of its glory just before
Halloween, living and breathing the
Monterey Peninsula 17-Mile Drive, legendary
Pebble Beach, romantic Carmelby-the-Sea
with its fine dining, boutiques
and quaint inns, white beaches
to take a leisurely hand-holding stroll,
trails to hike at Point Lobos State
Park, wineries to visit in the middle of
“crush,” negotiating the Pacific Coast
Highway through Big Sur – all with fantastic
weather...
And, oh, by the way, there were
hundreds upon hundreds of pristine
Porsches, a famous track called Mazda
Raceway Laguna Seca, and an event
named the Porsche Rennsport Reunion
IV.
Get the picture?!
While getting to and being in the area
was half the fun, the Porsche Rennsport
Reunion IV was the highlight of wife
Leslie’s and my four-day weekend.
Why? It was all about seeing the cars
