letters
Sorry to point out a mistake in [the
October] issue. My wife took photos of
the “Great Pumpkin Rally” costumes, and
she knows exactly who is in the photo on
page 28. You are correct in that the lady
in white—“the pylon”—is Joanne Sillin, as
stated. The lady with the hat and facial
“features” is Phyllis Martin, my wife,
and the guy with the mask is me, Norm
Martin, a member since 1969. Not Dave
Stephens!
You guys do a great job on the monthly
magazine. We look forward to receiving it
every month. Thanks.
Norm Martin
We appreciate the correction! Club
Historian Amy Legg-Rogers manages to
dig up a seemingly inexhaustible supply
of interesting historical tidbits from past
newsletters for the “Rearview Mirror”
column each month. Given that the
photos are usually decades old and are
sometimes accompanied by spotty or
incorrect captions, I’d say Amy is doing a
stellar job. -Ed
Mystery primate (and equally mysterious
companion) unmasked!
Got correspondence? High Gear
welcomes your feedback about the
magazine, RMR, PCA in general, and all
things Porsche. Letters will be published
as space permits and may be edited for
length. Letters may be sent to the editor
at newsletter@rmrporscheclub.com.
