1989 944 S2 Firehawk Race Car - Owned
this car for about 10 years and ready to
move to something else. Cost to duplicate
would be well over $50K. This car is great
because it’s competitive in class both in
NASA and PCA Club Racing. Ran 7 races
last month and won all 7. Best time at HPR
2:01.6. ‘89 944S2 chassis; chrome-moly
cage, engineered to maximize chassis reinforcement.
Built on fresh street tub about
5 years ago. Motor originally built by Kelly
Moss Racing to Firehawk specs. Has Carillo
rods and 968 piston squirters. 944S2 Club
Sport chip; Stahl headers; huge external oil
coolers; GT Racing fiberglass nose, splitter,
and hood; Lexan windshield; sunroof de-
leted; 2 race seats and harnesses (Sparco,
Recaro); 944TS(!) brakes; short 5th gear,
custom built diff; AC removed; early manual
steering rack (not de-powered late rack);
reinforced torque tube; rear converted to
coil-overs, BEARINGS used at end of torsion
bar carrier, bushings ($$$); rear Turbo Cup
sway bar (unobtanium these days); 968
MO30 front sway bar; Fabcar control arms
($$$); Leda remote reservoir shocks; Forgeline
9” and 10” x 18” wheels with titanium
