to insure <strong>Alaska</strong> contractors get <strong>Alaska</strong><br />
contracts, people only need to look at how<br />
we are running our campaign for governor.<br />
All too often, statewide campaigns in <strong>Alaska</strong> spend<br />
thousands of dollars to bring Outside political consultants<br />
and media teams up here to manage their strategy and<br />
message. <strong>The</strong> campaign to elect Sarah Palin and Sean Parnell<br />
is entirely being done by homegrown <strong>Alaska</strong>n talents<br />
– many of whom are volunteers.<br />

have skills and experience not found in<br />
Outside contractors; they should absolutely<br />
be on the forefront of our state’s progress to<br />
assure that the unique environmental, labor, and logistical<br />
<strong>Alaska</strong> project requirements are addressed by<br />
<strong>Alaska</strong>n contractors.<br />
We can promote work for <strong>Alaska</strong>n contractors by scoping<br />
projects so that <strong>Alaska</strong>n contractors can be utilized to<br />
their maximum potential. I will require my commissioners<br />
