The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment confirmed:-<br />
• The health of the environment is directly linked to hum<strong>an</strong> well-being <strong>an</strong>d invariably<br />
economic development<br />
• If current trends continue, ecosystem services that are freely available today will cease to<br />
be available or become more costly in the near future<br />
• The loss of ecosystem services will influence customer preferences, stockholder<br />
expectations, regulatory regimes, governmental policies, employee well-being, <strong>an</strong>d the<br />
availability of fin<strong>an</strong>ce <strong>an</strong>d insur<strong>an</strong>ce<br />
All of which will have a direct impact on the sustainability of the <strong>film</strong> industry.<br />
