city of Geneva and in 2003 “ Le
Grand Prix de la ville de Sierre ”
(for L’Œil de la forêt, published
by Casterman. Recently he has
also signed five stamps for the
swiss mail.

After an education at the School of Graphic
Arts (Met de Penninghen), then at the School of
Decorative Arts in Paris, Lionel Richerand specializes
in illustrating and directing animated films.
To begin with, he created images for the Bayard
press Internet site and enews. In October 2007
he published, with Akiléos, the comic book Petit
conte léguminesque, collaborating with Eric Sannier.
Immersed in the world of animated film, he
produced a 26-minute film La Peur du Loup, codirected
the series Les Grabonautes and participated
in the feature film Renaissance by Christian
Volckman. At the moment he is working on his
own feature film and several comic-strip projects.
