CASE BACKGROUND:<br />
CLASS DEFINITION<br />
National <strong>Class</strong>: The Nationwide <strong>Class</strong> is being brought to stop Defendants’ illegal behavior and<br />
includes any person or business that indirectly purchased in the U.S., TFT-<strong>LCD</strong> panels incorporated in<br />
televisions, monitors and/or notebook computers, from one or more of the Defendants (listed in the<br />
response to Question 7) or Quanta Display Inc., between 1999 and the present, for their own use and<br />
not for resale, and reside in the U.S. as of the date of this notice.<br />
State Damages <strong>Class</strong>es: The Statewide <strong>Class</strong>es are being brought to recover money, and include any<br />
person or business that indirectly purchased TFT-<strong>LCD</strong> panels incorporated in TVs, monitors and/or<br />
notebook computers from one or more of the Defendants (listed in the response to Question 7) or<br />
Quanta Display Inc., from 1999 to 2006, for their own use and not for resale, while residing in the 24<br />
states or DC. The purchase must have been made in the same state where the person or business<br />
resided.<br />
The 24 states are: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts,<br />
Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North<br />
Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.<br />
