Updating Your Application Applications are accepted at all times for all positions and are held for 90 days from the date they are received. If you would like to update your application, call the NAF personnel office before the expiration date, which is 90 days from the date that it is submitted, and we will update it for you for a second 90 days. Current Employees Current NAF employees must submit an AF Form 2550 for promotions or position changes. A résumé or separate sheet may be attached to the AF Form 2550 outlining additional experience or training. Military Spouse Preference Applicants An application packet, military spouse preference letter and a copy of the spouse’s permanent change of station orders (applicant’s name must be on orders) should be submitted to be considered for military spouse preference. Eligibility for spouse preference is lost upon accepting or declining any regular position with NAF, civil service or AAFES on Little Rock AFB. Veteran Preference Applicants A copy of the veteran’s DD-214 (member copy 4) must be submitted with the application packet to be considered for veteran’s preference. Trips include but are not limited to canoeing, kayaking, fishing, dinner cruises, pontoon boat rides, rock climbing and mountain biking for the outdoor enthusiast. They offer equipment rental, an RV storage lot, a resale lot, stables, FAM Camp, swimming pool and a nature trail. The Outdoor Adventure Programs offer a variety of activities including mountain biking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, campouts and the famous dinner cruises. Recreation Checkout offers outdoor and recreation equipment for checkout, including everything from lawn and garden equipment to pontoon boats. Available at the base lake is the family camping facility, offering RV spaces to traveling members of the Armed Forces. The base pools are also managed by ODR during the season they’re opened. This program starts in April. FAM Camp Location: Bldg. 586 Phone: (501) 987-3366 Directions: Follow U.S. 67 north from Little Rock to Jacksonville. Exit at the Little Rock AFB exit (Exit 11) and follow signs through gate. Go straight ahead on Vandenberg Drive to Arnold Drive (first junction), turn left and follow Arnold Drive about 1.5 miles to Second Street. A “Family Camp” sign will be on your right. Turn right on Second Street, then turn left at the first road into FAM Camp. Check-in is at Building 640, but you can find an empty space and can call to tell them you’re there and leave your money in an envelope at the bulletin board at the camp. Look for tags on posts at each site to determine unoccupied spaces. Prices: • RV pads (Daily Price $12): 10 spaces; W/E/S • Tent sites (Daily Price $10): 6 spaces, W/E • RV and tent sites can be rented by military members for a monthly fee of $300 if on military TDY orders. Hercules Dining Facility Location: Bldg. 834 Phone: (501) 987-6268 Fax: (501) 987-6386 The mission of the Hercules Dining Facility staff is to provide high quality, nutritious meals that enhance physical fitness, well-being and quality of life for Little Rock AFB personnel, with a primary focus on dormitory residents. Retirees, family members, civil service, onbase contractors and federal civilian police are welcome for all meals; however, active-duty members have priority. This will ensure that we are able to prepare specific meals requested. Ground Support Meal Orders, Phone: (501) 987-3630 or (501) 987-6483. Flight meal orders take precedence over ground support meal orders. Keep this in mind when flight personnel relay pickup time for meals. In most cases, maximum wait time is two hours. Hours: Monday through Sunday: 24 hours Room Rates: *Prices accurate at time of publication. • Visiting Quarters (VQ): $39 • Enlisted Distinguished Visitors (EDV): $42.50 • Officer Distinguished Visitors (ODV): $48.25 • Officers General Quarters (06 and above) (OGN): $53.25 • Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF): $41.50 Check-in/Check-out Procedures Normal check-in time is 2 p.m. Checkout time is 11 a.m. Late checkout will be charged as an additional night’s stay. Students need to review class schedules to ensure they will be out of class prior to checkout time, or check out before going to class. If a guest who has paid by check or cash checks out early and is due a refund, it will be paid by cash (if funds are available), or a mailing address will be obtained to mail a refund check to the guest. Full refunds will be given immediately at checkout for credit card payments by processing a “credit” to the credit card. Guests must submit a valid credit card number to hold a room past 6 p.m. Space-available reservations (nonofficial duty status) can be made up to 72 hours in advance of arrival. Payment We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard for payment. These payments are for the exact amount due for lodging services only. For check-cashing services, please contact the Base Exchange or base clubs. Space-available guests must pay in advance regardless of payment method. Priority One guests, with valid credit card on file, must make payments on the room every 15 days.
