CHABOT<br />

Frederic Chabot enters his fourth season with the<br />

Edmonton Oilers where the 44-year-old will work with<br />

both the Oilers goaltenders as well as the developing<br />

netminders in the system.<br />

Chabot joins the Oilers after most recently serving as<br />

Goaltending Consultant with Hockey Canada and their<br />

National Junior Team, helping Canada capture a gold<br />

medal at the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championship<br />

in Ottawa, Ontario. He was also an instructor at<br />

Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence Goaltending<br />

Camp for three years (2007-09).<br />

The Hebertville-Station, Quebec, native worked as a Goaltending Consulltant with Berlin (DEL) in<br />

2008-09, capturing the league championship with the Ice Bears. He was also involved with AIK<br />

Stockholm (SWE-2) from 2007-2009, overseeing goaltending for the entire organization.<br />

A veteran of 17 professional seasons, Chabot played 32 National Hockey League games with three<br />

different teams (Montreal, Philadelphia and Los Angeles).<br />

His playing career was highlighted during the 1999-2000 season when he was named the<br />

International Hockey League’s Most Valuable Player and Top Goaltender, posting a 2.13 goals against<br />

average and a .920 save percentage in 62 games played with the Houston Aeros. He was also named<br />

MVP of the IHL in 1996-97 as a member of the Aeros.<br />

SKATING & SKILLS COACH<br />

GOALTENDING COACH<br />

Steve Serdachny brings an extensive background of skating and power skating<br />

to the Oilers’ organization in his role as Edmonton’s Skating and Skills Coach.<br />

Now in his seventh season with the Oilers, he works at improving the skating<br />

and hockey skill sets of players at all levels of the organization, working closely<br />

with the players during training camp and throughout the season. Prior to his current position, he<br />

worked at several Oilers training camps and rookie development camps.<br />

Through his Elite Power Skating & Hockey Schools, the Edmonton native has worked with players<br />

throughout North America and Europe. Besides his work with the Oilers, he has worked with individual<br />

NHL players during the off-season as well as with Farjestads BK of the Swedish Elitserien and SAIPA<br />

of the Finnish SM-Liiga.<br />

Serdachny, the creator of “The Steve Serdachny Power Skating and Skill Development SystemTM”,<br />

can also be seen on the NHL Network as the Hockey & Skating expert from Hockey Canada’s television<br />

show “Hockey Academy”.<br />
