On July 5, 2010, T.D. Forss was named Head Athletic Therapist of the<br />

Edmonton Oilers. Forss, now in his third season with the club, has an<br />

extensive background in professional sports, including spending seven<br />

years, 2003-2010, as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Canadian<br />

Football League’s Edmonton Eskimos.<br />

Prior to joining the Eskimos, Forss served as the Assistant Athletic Therapist with the Calgary<br />

Flames from 2001-2003 and Athletic Therapist & Strength Coach for the Spokane Chiefs of the<br />

Western Hockey League from 1994-98 and 1999-2001.<br />

T.D., who holds a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of<br />

Alberta, has spent time with Hockey Canada as an Athletic Therapist at the 1992 Spengler<br />

Cup as well as the 1996 and 1999 World Junior Hockey Championships. Most recently, TD was<br />

selected by Hockey Canada as the Athletic Therapist during the 2012 IIHF Men’s World Hockey<br />

Championships in Helsinki, Finland.<br />

He is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association, the National Athletic Trainers<br />

Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Professional Hockey<br />

Athletic Trainers Society.<br />

T.D. and his wife, Monica, reside in Edmonton with their children Katelin (15) and Liana (12).<br />

Davie is entering his 11th season with the Oilers training department. The<br />

36-year-old native of Provost, Alberta will work closely with Head Athletic<br />

Therapist, T.D. Forss and the Oilers medical staff in injury assessment,<br />

treatment and rehabilitation.<br />

A graduate of the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation, Davie’s first<br />

stint with the Oilers came from 1999-00 to 2000-01 when he served as the team’s Assistant Athletic<br />

Therapist. Following his two seasons with the Oilers he was named the Head Athletic Therapist for the<br />

Oilers’ American Hockey League affiliate, serving in that role for four seasons. During that span he<br />

spent two seasons with the Hamilton Bulldogs (2001-02 to 2002-03) and one each with the Toronto<br />

Roadrunners (2003-04) and Edmonton Road Runners (2004-05).<br />

Following the NHL lockout season, Davie joined Toronto and was the Maple Leafs Assistant Athletic<br />

Therapist in 2005-06 and 2006-07 before serving as the Head Athletic Therapist for the AHL’s Toronto<br />

Marlies in 2007-08.<br />

During his career, Davie has also worked on the training staffs of both the Edmonton Eskimos (CFL)<br />

and Edmonton Cracker Cats baseball team. He is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapist<br />

Association, the National Athletic Trainers Association, the National Strength and Conditioning<br />

Association and the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society.<br />

Chris and his wife, Julie, make Edmonton their home along with sons Benjamin (9) and Sebastian (7).<br />
