The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation’s
COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
largest undertaking to date has been the
redevelopment of Edmonton’s Inner City High School. For kids who come from broken
homes and lives rooted in the street, finding something that is constant and stable can
be difficult – but vitally important. In Edmonton, the steadying force has been Inner City
High School. This unique school supports youth in Edmonton’s core neighbourhoods on
many levels. It provides a safe and inspiring place with a strong sense of community,
one that goes beyond basic education to address the many complex needs of at riskyouth.
The facility has the opportunity to transform lives – helping youth fulfill their
dreams of a better place in our world.
50/50 PROGRAM
The EOCF proudly supports registered charitable organizations and minor hockey
and ringette associations in Northern Alberta through 50/50 draws that take place
during all Edmonton Oilers home games. Tickets are $5 each, 3 for $10 or 10 for
$20 and can be purchased until the middle of the second intermission, with one
lucky winner taking home 50% of the pot. The remaining proceeds are shared by the
participating organization and the EOCF.
SEATS FOR KIDS
Through the generosity of individuals and businesses across
Oil Country, the EOCF’s Seats for Kids program, presented
by Stantec, helps makes dreams come true by providing donated game and suite
tickets to registered children’s charities, giving many children facing extraordinary
challenges the chance to experience Oilers hockey and other events live at Rexall
Place. Any Oilers ticket holder can donate their unused tickets to the EOCF in return
for a charitable tax receipt for the value of the tickets donated.
PUCK SURPRISE
The EOCF and Oilers Ladies will once again take over the concourse at Rexall Place
with limited edition autographed pucks for the annual Puck Surprise event! Lucky
fans who receive one of 23 pucks signed in gold will also win a team signed stick.
All net proceeds will go to support youth mental health awareness in Oil Country and
the EOCF.
WINNER’S CHOICE LOTTERY
Back by popular demand, Winner’s Choice Lottery is the most exciting
and innovative concept in home lotteries. Winners have the option of
choosing the prize or cash on all major prizes. Winner’s Choice Lottery
is in support of the EOCF’s legacy project – the redevelopment of Inner
City High School in Edmonton.
