MASSAGE THERAPIST<br />

TRAINING STAFF<br />

Lines, 35, enters his sixth season as a member of the Oilers training staff.<br />

He joined the Oilers in 2007-08 after spending three seasons (2005 to<br />

2007) with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. A<br />

Registered Massage Therapist, he holds a degree from the Wellington<br />

College of Remedial Massage Therapies in Winnipeg, Manitoba and has worked closely with<br />

Hockey Canada since 2001.<br />

Lines was a member of the Team Canada training staff at the 2008 IIHF World Championship<br />

tournament in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Quebec City, Quebec, serving as the Massage Therapist<br />

for the silver medal winning hosts. It was his second appearance with Team Canada as he was<br />

the Massage Therapist with the 2007 national junior team, helping Canada win the gold medal<br />

at the IIHF World Junior Championship in Sweden.<br />

Lines has also worked many of Hockey Canada’s development and selection camps for both the<br />

men’s and women’s national teams as well as with the Canadian Under-18 teams. He worked<br />

closely with the national team in its preparations for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.<br />

Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Lines grew-up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, before beginning his<br />

professional sports career in Calgary. Besides his work with the Calgary Stampeders and Hockey<br />

Canada, he has worked with both the Calgary Flames and Calgary Hitmen.<br />

RYAN WILLIAMS<br />

PHYSICAL THERAPY CONSULTANT<br />

Ryan Williams enters his second season with the Oilers’ training staff.<br />

In 2011, he split time between the Oilers and Hockey Canada, where he<br />

worked as a Head Therapist at the 2011 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.<br />

Ryan has worked as a Physical Therapy Consultant with multiple junior hockey teams, including<br />

two seasons with the Edmonton Oil Kings from 2008-2010, and has spent time plying his trade<br />

with Hockey Alberta and varsity athletics at the University of Alberta.<br />

When not working with the Oilers, Williams practices physical therapy at the Glen Sather Sport<br />

Medicine Clinic at the University of Alberta. The Kitscoty, Alberta native graduated from the U of<br />

A in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy.<br />
