5.3.2. REMOVING THE FRONT WHEEL<br />

WARNING<br />
When removing/refitting, pay utmost attention<br />
not to damage the brake line, disc and pads.<br />
• Position the vehicle on the center stand.<br />
• Set a support under the frame.<br />
• Remove the brake caliper, see (CHANGING THE<br />
FRONT AND REAR BRAKE PADS).<br />
• Loosen and remove the wheel shaft nut.<br />
• Loosen the shaft screws.<br />
• Loosen and remove the wheel shaft.<br />
• Collect the odometer drive fitting.<br />
• Slide out the wheel.<br />
WARNING<br />
Do not operate the front brake lever when the<br />
wheel is not in place or the caliper piston might<br />
come off its housing, thus causing brake fluid<br />
leakage.<br />
