"The LETTER of MR. C. SIBELLIUS, Relating that<br />

EAST-INDIAN Conversion before-mentioned, here followeth<br />

: A Monument to the Glory of God, and the<br />

blessed Memoriall of the Reverend man of God, very<br />

eminent in Pietie, and in Learning, M. ROBERT JUNIUS<br />

lately of the Church of God among the Heathen, in the<br />

Isle FORMOSA, best deserving ; now of the Lord's Flock<br />

in DELPH, a most vigilant Pastour.<br />

" WHEN in the former yeare (viz. 1645) in the Name<br />

and by the Assignment of the Reverend Synod of the<br />

Churches of Overisle, I was present at the Honoured<br />

Synod of the North Holland Churches at Harleim (for the<br />

testifying and conserving our holy and firme Agreement :)<br />

There, with great applause of all, and with highest<br />

admiration, were those (Glad Tidings] received, which<br />

made mention of the happie state, and the encrease of<br />

the Churches of God (among the Heathen] in the Easterne<br />

India : Where, the unwearied diligence of the most<br />

Learned JUNIUS, and his singular Dexteritie, accom-<br />

panied with the Blessing of God, both in Planting,<br />

Watering, and Governing of Churches amongst the<br />

INDIANS, in the FORMOSA Island, publiquely was<br />

spoken of, and commended.<br />

" I presently concluded in my selfe, that this singular<br />

favour of God by meanes of him conferred upon those
