4.5 Injury Prevention Fact Sheets<br />

<strong>Sport</strong> and Recreation Victoria (SRV) have<br />

developed a series of facts sheets on<br />

preventing injury in particular sports. These<br />

fact sheets are based on a series of sports<br />

injury prevention countermeasure reviews<br />

undertaken by Monash University Accident<br />

Research Centre and Deakin University<br />

School of Human Movement and were<br />

supported by grants from <strong>Sport</strong> and<br />

Recreation Victoria. The fact sheets, which<br />

have been distributed to the relevant <strong>Victorian</strong><br />

sports associations, deliver information in a<br />

useful format to participants.<br />

Each fact sheet identifies strategies which will<br />

minimise the risk of injury for that particular<br />

sporting activity. Strategies include use of<br />

protective equipment, modification of rules<br />
