Longfellow School
Longfellow students enjoy Dance
Fitness Friday with Student School
Nurse Catherine Winans.
Under the direction of Longfellow’s
School Nurse Joanne Conn and Student
School Nurse Catherine Winans, the
students of Longfellow enjoy Dance Fitness
Friday.
All students, kindergarten through
fourth grade, who want to participate
along with the nurses, teachers, and educational
assistants, have an opportunity
to do so during indoor recess.
Dance Fitness Friday is an event that
was planned to promote physical fitness.
It is a great chance for the students to
have fun and exercise during the winter
months when recess is often held inside.
Student School Nurse Catherine
Winans said, “Dance Fitness Friday is a
great way for the student to have fun and
learn about the importance of exercise.”
Being physically active at least once a
day is very important to maintaining a
healthy lifestyle; this event is just one
more way that the students can do that.
Everyone enjoys dancing together
and burning calories.
