Our Guidelines For Non-Payment Turn-<br />

Offs Are As Follows:<br />

If you receive a shut-off notice, please forward<br />

payment to the MPWC by the notice date.<br />

Visit our office to pay your bill in person using<br />

cash, check or money order during regular business<br />

hours. If you need to drop off your payment during<br />

non-business hours, you can use the drop box/mail<br />

slot on the side of our building. Please do NOT put<br />

cash payments in the drop box. You can also pay<br />

ABOUT YOUR REMOTE READ DEVICES<br />

If you have a remote device on the exterior of your property that allows us to read your<br />

water meter, we need to verify that it is working properly and recording your water usage accurately.<br />

Recent issues with the remotes have caused inaccurate readings and higher customer bills.<br />

Please help us keep your readings accurate and costs as low as possible.<br />

Please compare the reading on your remote device with the meter inside your home<br />

and contact the MPWC with both readings. You may record your readings below<br />

and call the number listed.<br />

Please contact us with your In/Out readings at your earliest convenience so that<br />

we can provide accurate billing and correct any discrepancies immediately.<br />

If you have specific questions, please contact our office during regular business hours,<br />

Monday – Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.<br />

The MPWC does not accept promises for payment.<br />

Your payment MUST BE MADE prior to<br />

the date on the shut-off notice or your service will<br />

be terminated. Once your service is terminated, a<br />

fee of $60.00 will be applied to the open balance on<br />

your account and must be paid along with the open<br />

balance in order to have service restored.<br />

Keep in mind that if your service is shut-off, it will<br />

not be restored until after 2:00 p.m., even after payment<br />

is received.<br />

how we can improve our site to better serve our customers.<br />

While visiting out new site, remember to sign up for the Community Notification<br />

System. Our notification system keeps customers informed of water emergencies<br />

and other critical events in the area. There are times when service in your area may<br />

be temporarily impacted by events like water main breaks and hydrant flushing. We<br />

now have the capability to notify customers via email, text message, home or cellular<br />

telephone. If you would like to be included in these notifications, please visit our website<br />

at www.mpwc.com and click on the “Notify Me” button.<br />
