BIG Council Unveils Plans For New Web Site
At the March
meeting of the Business,
Industry, and
Government Council
of Pennsauken
Township, the or-
ganization announced the development
of a newly designed web site. The site,
which is currently being designed by Chris
Owens of Pennsauken-based company
Innovafire Web Solutions, will provide a
comprehensive resource for both current
and potential B.I.G. Council members.
“The B.I.G. Council doesn’t have a
physical location, which makes it hard if
you want to get involved,” says Owens.
“So it makes sense to have a ‘virtual’ location,
so you can find everything, so you
can sign up for everything. It gives you a
central point to get oriented.”
The newly designed BIGPenn -
sauken.com, slated for a May relaunch,
will allow participating members to pay
their annual dues, pre-pay for the organization’s
monthly meetings, and find
links to pertinent online resources. There
will also be a searchable version of the
2013-2014 Pennsauken-Merchantville
Business Directory, where visitors to the
site will be able to find local companies
using specific criteria.
“Chris has been gracious enough to
help us out with our web site,” adds Tim
Ellis, B.I.G. Council chairperson. “He
lives and works in Pennsauken, and will
be very hands on as we continue to
move forward with our new site. It’s
going to be exciting.”

is designed to repair and replace the
parts of Pennsauken’s welcome signs
that need attention.
The sign improvement project is
reaching completion. Several sponsorship
opportunities remain available for
businesses to lend financial support to
the project.

Embrace The Artist In All Of Us
The week of the art show and sale at the
Pennsauken Free Public Library is filled
with a wide variety of events and workshops
sure to inspire the artist in everyone.
To kick off this special week, the
children’s department is presenting
“Mlanjeni’s Magical Theater” on Saturday
April 20 at 3 p.m.
Special free workshops and demonstrations
will also take place during the
week of the art show and sale. Below is
the schedule presented by the Friends of
the Pennsauken Free Public Library.
Some have limited room and require

the circulation desk.
Sunday, April 21
2:00 p.m. Basic Photograph techniques
presented by Mr. James Mitchell. Topics
will include: Preparing to capture a photo,
reviewing your photographs on a computer,
simple editing, presentation, and
online sharing.
3:30 p.m. Face Drawing Workshop by
Ms. Fran Bennett. Supplies will be pro-

Artists are generously donating 20
percent of all sales to the Friends of the
Pennsauken Library. All funds are used
for library programs and special purchases
not covered by its ordinary
budget.
Do you have your art pieces ready for
the show? The next step is to drop them
off at the library on Thursday, April 18
between 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. or on Friday,
April 19 between 12:00 - 5:30 p.m. All
paint must be dry.
Come to the art show! Support the
“Arts at the Library.” You will enjoy seeing
the beautiful pieces your neighbors
have created. Perhaps you will purchase
an item for your future enjoyment.
