The data records of a sequential file must have a format that can be read by a standard SAP batch input
program.
The applications provide structure descriptions for the standard SAP batch input programs in the
ABAP/4 Dictionary.
The structure descriptions and the structure of the sequential file depend on the application. They are
described in the documentation for the standard SAP batch input programs.
Example: In Financial Accounting, there are three different types of data records:
Type 0: Session header data (e.g. session name).
Type 1: Transaction header data (e.g. transaction code).
Type 2: SAP table data (e.g. table name, field name, field contents etc.)
