Objects, methods and properties are terms from the field of object-oriented programming. Before<br />

concentrating in more detail on OLE-specific programming, these terms should be explained.<br />

Objects have properties which characterize the objects. You can select and set these properties.<br />

To perform special functions on the objects, you define methods (functions).<br />

The objects themselves can be defined in object hierarchies where you can work with inherited properties<br />

and methods.<br />

In R/3, function modules are now presented as objects which R/3 makes available externally via the<br />

object-oriented interface (OLE Automation). There is thus an RFC object hierarchy.
