The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs
pitched a double shutout on the
Memorial Christian Warriors
Monday at Hallmark Lanes.
Cove evened their record at 1-1
with the win. Tyler Combs and
Brett Palumbo led Cove in scoring
while Tyler Kovac topped the
Warriors (0-2).
The Lady Dawgs also shut
out Memorial Christian and
evened their district record at 1-
1. Brittney Wehmeier was tops
for Cove and Rebecca Phelps led
the Lady Warriors (0-2).

Eagles, Grey Wolves Split
The Ellison Eagles topped the
Shoemaker Grey Wolves 11-6
Tuesday at Hallmark Lanes in
a hard fought match to remain
unbeaten at 2-0. Ellison, behind
Skylar Tommervik, Eric Thomas
and Kevan Wheatley, took a
5-2 lead after match play. But
Shoemaker came back to win the
first team game to pull within
5-4. However, the Eagles took a
commanding 9-4 lead by edging
the Grey Wolves in the next two
games. Shoemaker won the final
team game and total pins for the
final score. Brandon Shirley led
Shoemaker (1-1) in scoring.
The Lady Grey Wolves earned
a split with a convincing 14-3 victory
over the Lady Eagles. Georgcia
Lowe led Shoemaker to a 6-1
lead after match play, then took 3
of 4 team games. With the win,
Shoemaker remained unbeaten
at 2-0. The Lady Eagles, led by
Rebecca Arrevalos, fell to 0-2.

Heights Sweep Roos
The Harker Heights Knights
averaged 211 as a team to roll
over the Killeen Kangaroos Tuesday
at Killeen Bowlerama. Tim
Rackley and Brian Jewell both
averaged over 237 to take a 6-1
lead after match play, then took 3
of 4 team games for a 14-3 victory.
Heights kept pace with Ellison
at 2-0 in district play. Anthony
Morales averaged 232 to lead
Killeen, who fell to 0-2.
The Lady Knights stayed perfect
(2-0) and made it a sweep
with a 15-2 victory over the Lady
Roos. Heights took a 5-2 lead
after match play behind Sylvia
Torres and Lorissa Carns, then
swept the team games. Alexis
Holmes averaged 215 to lead the
Lady Roos, who fell to 1-1.
