Cove evened their record at 1-1<br />

with the win. Tyler Combs and<br />

Brett Palumbo led Cove in scoring<br />

while Tyler Kovac topped the<br />

Warriors (0-2).<br />

<strong>The</strong> Lady Dawgs also shut<br />

out Memorial Christian and<br />

evened their district record at 1-<br />

for Cove and Rebecca Phelps led<br />

Eagles, Grey Wolves Split<br />

<strong>The</strong> Ellison Eagles topped the<br />

Shoemaker Grey Wolves 11-6<br />

Tuesday at Hallmark Lanes in<br />

a hard fought match to remain<br />

unbeaten at 2-0. Ellison, behind<br />

Skylar Tommervik, Eric Thomas<br />

and Kevan Wheatley, took a<br />

5-2 lead after match play. But<br />

Shoemaker came back to win the<br />

first team game to pull within<br />

5-4. However, the Eagles took a<br />

commanding 9-4 lead by edging<br />

the Grey Wolves in the next two<br />

games. Shoemaker won the final<br />

team game and total pins for the<br />

final score. Brandon Shirley led<br />

Shoemaker (1-1) in scoring.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Lady Grey Wolves earned<br />

a split with a convincing 14-3 victory<br />

over the Lady Eagles. Georgcia<br />

Lowe led Shoemaker to a 6-1<br />

lead after match play, then took 3<br />

of 4 team games. With the win,<br />

Shoemaker remained unbeaten<br />

at 2-0. <strong>The</strong> Lady Eagles, led by<br />

Rebecca Arrevalos, fell to 0-2.<br />

Heights Sweep Roos<br />

<strong>The</strong> Harker Heights Knights<br />

averaged 211 as a team to roll<br />

over the Killeen Kangaroos Tuesday<br />

at Killeen Bowlerama. Tim<br />

Rackley and Brian Jewell both<br />

averaged over 237 to take a 6-1<br />

lead after match play, then took 3<br />

of 4 team games for a 14-3 victory.<br />

Heights kept pace with Ellison<br />

at 2-0 in district play. Anthony<br />

Morales averaged 232 to lead<br />

Killeen, who fell to 0-2.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Lady Knights stayed perfect<br />

(2-0) and made it a sweep<br />

with a 15-2 victory over the Lady<br />

Roos. Heights took a 5-2 lead<br />

after match play behind Sylvia<br />

Torres and Lorissa Carns, then<br />
