Multilateral activities are based on participating in the activities of the World<br />

Customs Organization (WCO). The Customs Administration of Serbia<br />

participates in the work of standing committees and subcommittees and<br />

follows the conventions that have been adopted under the auspices of the<br />

WCO. Serbia and Montenegro is signatory to seven of a total of twelve WCO<br />

conventions.<br />

- The Convention on Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System;<br />

- Customs Convention on the Temporary Importation of Packing;<br />

- Customs Convention on the Temporary Importation of Professional Equipment;<br />

- Customs Convention concerning facilities <strong>for</strong> the importation of goods <strong>for</strong> display<br />

or use at exhibitions, fairs, meetings or similar events<br />

- Customs Convention on ATA Carnets <strong>for</strong> Temporary Admission of Goods– the<br />

??? Convention;<br />

- Customs Convention concerning welfare material <strong>for</strong> seafarers;<br />

International Convention on Simplification and Harmonization of Customs<br />

Procedures – the Kyoto Convention;<br />

The Customs Administration of Serbia cooperates with the International Association<br />

of Road Carriers and the European Economic Commission of the United Nations; it<br />

actively follows the following conventions adopted under the auspices of the United<br />

Nations:<br />

- The Customs Convention on International Importation of Goods Under Cover of<br />

TIR Carnets – The ?IR Convention;<br />

- The Customs Convention on Containers;<br />

- Convention on Relief <strong>for</strong> Tourism;<br />

- Customs Convention on Temporary Importation of Private Road Vehicles;<br />

- Customs Convention on Temporary Importation of Commercial Road Vehicles;<br />

- International Convention on Harmonization of Border Control of Goods<br />

(Geneva);<br />

- The European Convention on Customs Procedure with Palettes Used in<br />

International Transport;<br />

- Customs Convention on the Temporary Importation <strong>for</strong> Private Use of Aircraft and<br />

Pleasure Boats;<br />

- Convention on the Navigation Regime in the Danube;
