Dear Friends,<br />
What a rollercoaster of a week it has been! We began with Yom Hazikaron on Sunday evening and<br />
Monday, which gave way for the fantastic celebration of Yom Ha’atzmaut on Monday evening and<br />
Tuesday. The commemoration of Yom Hazikaron was incredibly powerful in both the community and<br />
school events and Yom Ha’atzmaut was then celebrated in phenomenal style throughout Johannesburg.<br />
Being my first Yom Ha’atzmaut outside of Israel for a number of years, I was so overwhelmed to see how<br />
deeply and enthusiastically the community in South Africa celebrates this incredibly special day for the<br />
Jewish People.<br />

For the first time we, as the school, ran a fantastic Yom Haatzmaut Learning and Activites Programme for<br />
the entire campus. It was well attended and a great experience for all those that took part – thank you to all<br />
those who joined us...<br />
